Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. Growing up she was influenced by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas and any form dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music at an early age together with her mom. The formal training in singing at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. Following her move from Mexico to the United States in 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
